If you’re into buying and selling websites (and if you’re not, I strongly suggest you head on over to TubbyNerd and let Ed Dale tell you what you’re missing out on) coupled with nifty web 2.0 goodness, it’s imperative you read - learn - absorb Mike Arrington’s “The Magic Formula.”
Then dream up your web app that’ll bring you an ungodly amount of money in a dotcom-boom style buyout.
Truly, Arrington’s outline highlights the key aspects of success for new websites; I suggest you take his bullet points to heart.
And while you’re there, maybe load up some of your own ebooks to Scribd - you can always use more exposure, right? It’s a neat little website that allows users to share their files and distribute them in different formats.
While the prospect of sharing your work may make you a bit uneasy, consider that the benefits likely outweigh any negatives. Honestly, one jerk could plagerize what you wrote, while another 100 new folks are intorduced to your message. I wouldn’t worry too much.
And there’s always the backlink from your profile to consider! If you don’t have any of your own works to contribute, comment on other people’s. There’s several interesting docs on the homepage alone, Arrington’s aside.
